Anamaria Martinca is an actress from Romania. She won the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English and Romanian are the most spoken languages. Her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's most prestigious acting schools. Awarded an award for the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 for the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors. The year 2008 saw her named as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. Apart from her stellar performance in her debut movie she will also remember her performance on her role in the Romanian film "4 months 3 weeks 2 days" which won her numerous awards including an award from the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. She was the lead in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days" (4 months, three weeks And Two Days) that won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also won two additional awards: the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Additionally, she was the child character in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She appeared in 2008 as Yasim Angwar, the BBC miniseries of five episodes The Last Enemy. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the film Fury (2014) the actress was Irma, an German woman, who was Emma's aunt.
