Catherine Ford is a British actress born in Bloomsbury. Following the time her father left her household, the actress was grew up by her mother, grandparents, and godparents. When she was a infant, Ford struggled with obsessive/compulsive disorders and anxiety caused by the word association. Ford started to become fascinated by acting when she was a teenager, and she joined the National Youth Theatre. Ford was accepted into the Sylvia Young Theatre School, however, she decided after one week that she wasn't a good for the school. Ford applied instead at the Central School of Speech and Drama and was eventually offered an interview on her fourth try. Shaun Dingwall - who later appeared as Pete Tyler in Doctor Who was among Ford's classmates. Ford didn't complete her degree until 1993. In 1991, however, Ford had made her first television appearance in a show called Surgical Spirit. At that moment, Ford adopted the stage name Catherine Tate. Tate began her TV debut in 1991, appearing in shows such as The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. and London's Burning. The regular theatre work she performed has led to her joining the Royal Shakespeare Company, for the 2000-2001 season. Tate's stand-up comedy style that she started adding to her set in 1996, soon gained her attention.
