Garena's Garena first league (GPL) began in May 2012. It's a professional online gaming competition that lasts up to six months and has over 100 games. The GPL's inaugural season will be an internet-based League of Legends tournament with six professional teams. which represent top players from respective countries. GPL matches and commentaries are streamed online. Fans can stream them via the GPL website. In the month of January, Garena revealed it would begin the Garena Premier League's season two will begin on January 4th, 2013. Garena Premier League 2013, started on the 4th of January 2013 will feature two teams that are each made up of Taiwan and Vietnam. This brings the team count to eight. AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Taipei Assassins, and Singapore Sentinels are the teams. Garena's Sports stadium, which is a venue exclusively dedicated to esports at the Neihu District Taipei, opened on the 14th of November on the 14th of November, 2014.
