Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20 in 1966) is an American model as well as a TV personality and actress. In the 1980s and 1990s she was a supermodel of renown who was prominent on magazines and runways and also in fashion shows. In the following years, she started acting and began a business. The sophomore year of high school, she received a call from an local clothing store regarding modeling. She later learned that the call was made as a prank by two of her classmates. But, in the next year, another retailer hired a number of high school girls including Crawford who was hired to perform their duties (including an event for fashion). Roger Legel (a local photographer) approached Crawford during her junior year to shoot her. The task included an interview with Crawford to be published in the magazine. The positive feedback and the image inspired her to get modeling. In the beginning, she was working with a small modeling agency. Elite Model Management sold her to the agency shortly after she signed. In 1983, she was a participant in Elite's Look of the Year contest at age 17 and won the national finals.
